The primary reason to select a Harken Carbo Ratchamatic is the smart ratchet design that instantly engages when a predetermined load is reached.

When the load is released, the ratchet pawl seamlessly disengages to allow the sheave to run freely on Harken ball bearings.

The Ratchamatic load sensitivity can be set to allow sheets to run freely in both directions for fingertip control in light wind conditions.

Harken Ratchamatic® Ratchet Blocks are a superlative combination of the high-strength, lightweight Carbo design and the Harken Ratchamatic smart load-sensitive mechanism.
