We are nestled in the idyllic fishing village of Beer on the south coast of East Devon. We have two retail premises. The clothing store is located in the centre of Beer on Fore Street and the Chandlery is just a brief 2-3 minutes’ walk away in a beautiful location with easy access to the beach and village shops.

Jimmy Green Marine specialises in Ropes and Rigging. Sailing experience is not a requirement but is extremely helpful if you wish to quickly establish a working knowledge of the products and services we offer.

The Jimmy Green Team is now fifteen members strong and growing.

A suitable remuneration package is applicable for all vacancies.

The Company offers a work place pension scheme in line with the Pensions regulator.

Sick Pay:
After one year's service the Company may, at its absolute discretion, provide an additional benefit over and above any entitlement to Statutory Sick Pay for absence due to sickness.

Holiday Entitlement:
Each employee is entitled to 28 days holiday per year including all public/bank holidays.

Employee Accounts:
All employees automatically qualify for additional discount on our entire product range. Active sailors may also be offered sponsorship incentives dependent on experience and activity.

Yacht Rigger and Sales

Full-time, Permanent

Do you enjoy being physically active? Do you have a keen eye for detail? Do you like making things with your hands? If so, this could be the perfect job for you. As well as rigging and splicing custom online orders, you will be working with our despatch and yacht rigging teams to cover a wide range of operations such as; goods inwards, picking, packing, face to face and telephone sales.

This role does not require any specific qualifications but will require good IT, English and Maths skills. Full training in ‘The Jimmy Green Way’ will be provided.

Progression to being a senior rigger will require some experience in this specific field and a good working experience of sailing yachts/dinghies.
