Marine Sales Advisor
Jimmy Green Marine is a small family-run eCommerce business in Beer that specialises in custom splicing and rigging for Yachts. Our Team, who work at our chandlery workshop and office, strive to provide excellent service while building on our strong Jimmy Green Team spirit.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, driven person to join our sales and purchasing team and play a vital role within our growing organisation. The Sales Advisor position requires some knowledge of Yacht and/or Dinghy sailing, which will be built upon with product training whilst in the role.
It is a varied role that includes technical sales, customer service, website administration and some purchasing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience using Microsoft Office, strong numeracy and literacy skills, and be highly motivated and organised.
Responsibilities:
- Technical sales online enquiries and website administration
- Answering telephone sales enquiries
- Communicating with customers regarding stock lead times and expected delivery schedule for their online orders.
- Communicating with suppliers regarding their stock levels, expected delivery dates and purchase order confirmation requests.
- Assist sales team with promoting the company's brand, products, or services.
Role requirements:
- Strong numeracy & literacy skills
- Attention to detail essential
- Organised, self-motivated and proactive
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative in a busy office is essential, and to know when to ask for help
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel & Outlook
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000.00 - £28,500 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday
