The hamma™ manufacturing facility is a state of the art, modern factory located in Thailand with over 550 employees including 60 highly skilled engineers who specialise in the design and production of marine tensile stainless steel solutions.

hamma™ Standard
Snapshackles are recognisable as the most commonly used type and shape fitted to the end of sheets, halyards and control lines on cruising yachts all over the world, but these have the reassurance of the hamma™ manufacturing brand with their manufacturer rating.
Available in 2 versions:

Standard: Fixed Orientation

  • Sprung plunger pin for ergonomic opening and closing/locking
  • Clevis ring on pin for attaching a lanyard
  • Pulling on a lanyard makes the release easier when the snapshackle is under any tension
  • Suitable for use on sheets, halyards and control lines
  • Available in 3 sizes
  • For halyards and other applications where shackle rotation is not desired/required

Standard: Swivel Head

  • Sprung plunger pin for ergonomic opening and closing/locking

  • Suitable for use on sheets, halyards and control lines

  • Based on Navtec Norseman Gibb (2572) design
  • 17-4PH electro-polished high strength stainless steel
  • Side Opening
  • Swivel Head for full rotation
  • Standard bail only
  • 3 sizes - length overall
  • Size 1 64mm ~ Size 2 96.5mm ~ Size 3 124mm
  • Suitable for all control lines, but primarily the optimum choice for a halyard shackle

Top Opening

  • Based on Navtec Norseman Gibb (2522) shape and design
  • 17-4PH electro-polished high tensile load stainless steel
  • Top Opening
  • Swivel Head for full rotation
  • Standard and Large Bail options
  • Simple plunger pin release with clevis ring for attaching lanyard
  • Ergonomic snap closure
  • 3 sizes - length overall
  • Size 1 64mm ~ Size 2 96.5mm ~ Size 3 124mm
  • Top opening hinge prevents the snapshackle getting hooked after release
  • Specifically designed with the opening arm hinged at the top of the shackle head rather than on the side preventing the released arm from snagging on the line or clew you are trying to set free.
  • Use for sheets, guys and control lines, but not for halyards.

Triggerlatch Top Opening

  • Based on Navtec Norseman Gibb SuperSnap shape and design
  • 17-4PH electro-polished high tensile strength stainless steel
  • Top Opening
  • Swivel Head for full rotation
  • Standard and Large Bail options
  • The triggerlatch design facilitates the snapshackle to open under load by inserting a fid or spike into the release aperture making foredeck crewing much easier and safer.
  • Triggerlatch snapshackles are available in 3 sizes.
  • The spike release under load feature makes these snapshackles eminently suitable for spinnaker sheets and guys
  • Ergonomic snap closure
