Lewmar was founded by Len Lewery and Leslie Marsh in 1950 and has developed through a series of acquisitions and mergers to become one of the UK’s leading marine manufacturing brands.

Lewmar have invested in sophisticated, state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment at their two UK based production plants, aimed at consistently delivering top quality, innovative deck hardware solutions.

Lewmar currently produce a varied portfolio of equipment including windlasses, anchors, winches, blocks, hatches and steering systems.

Lewmar acquired Simpson Marine Engineering around the millenium and have established their VX range of windlasses as a well respected antecedent of the ground breaking Simpson Lawrence Anchorman design introduced in the 1990's.
