Marlow Blue Ocean® Doublebraid is the latest addition to their eco-conscious, sustainable Blue Ocean® product range.
The Blue Ocean® range is manufactured from 100% recycled rPET polyester sourced entirely from waste plastic bottles, so by choosing this eco-conscious option, you are making a small contribution towards turning the tide on plastic Clean Seas - www.cleanseas.org
Please note the current advisory from Marlow:
Due to current global supply and material consistency issues with some rPET raw material, Marlow have unfortunately had to take the decision to substitute the coloured yarns for regular polyester yarn meaning that the rPET yarn in this product now accounts for 75% of the product instead of 100%.
The polyester coloured yarns account for 50% of the material in the cover with the remaining 50% being rPET recycled polyester. The 16-plait core is 100% rPet recycled polyester. The cover to core ratio is 1:1 resulting in the 75% rPET content overall.
Suitable for all running rigging applications on cruising yachts for eco-conscious skippers and owners, Blue Ocean Doublebraid can be used for e.g. halyards, sheets, guys, reefing lines, tack lines, vangs/kickers, down/outhauls, furling lines, runner tails, preventers.
Blue Ocean Doublebraid is a versatile control line, but the bonus is that it has much less impact on our planet than other polyester ropes.
