Digital Assistance Prior to Ordering 

If you would like assistance with your rigging quote, the Jimmy Green Rigging Team are happy to help you with any questions over the phone or via email. 

We will usually request photos and dimensions of the terminals and measurements for each wire. 

The Team can guide you to the right products to enable you to order online or they can provide a full quote for you to agree and sign off.

Fabrication to an Existing Pattern 

We are happy to receive your rigging at our premises for the Rigging Team to evaluate and produce a quote for replacement if you are not confident of your requirements or would simply like us to provide the measuring service, 

Jimmy Green Marine offers a comprehensive service to measure and replace your rigging according to an existing pattern. 

This service requires the rigging wires to be delivered to our premises on the south coast of East Devon. 

This is generally the preferred option for our customers, placing the onus on the Rigging Team to accurately identify and replicate the rigging. 

However, ensuring safe delivery of your rigging to our premises may be complicated by distance and access to a suitably reliable courier service. 

Visit our Premises to bring the Existing Rigging 

We welcome customers to meet the team and discuss their requirements in person, especially if modifications or adjustments are required for the new rigging.  

We are fortunate to be based in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The lure of scenic walks and places for coffee or a bite to eat nearby may make a trip more attractive. Our Team all live locally and will be happy to recommend where to go. 

Please note that it is good to call ahead to ensure a suitably experienced rigger is available for your planned visit. 

Jimmy Green Collection Service

We will arrange the collection of your existing rigging from a UK address to use as a pattern, subject to reasonable restrictions.

If you cannot visit but want our Team to measure, quote and replicate your rigging, we can still help by providing a collection and delivery service. 

Initially, you will need to make a quick assessment of the rigging in terms of the number, length and size of the wires to be replaced. 

Based on this assessment, an approximate total weight of the items can be determined which will inform the service required.

If you don’t have the facility to easily weigh your rigging, an estimate can be made using an approximate length of the wires and an allowance for a rigging screw. Use the table below to help. 

For example, a single 8 metre x 4mm stay could be coiled up, sent, or collected by the Royal Mail.

At the other end of the scale, a complete set of 8 x 10mm stays from a 45-foot yacht will require a small pallet for shipment.

Wires will need to be clearly labelled, coiled and securely taped for transport. Labels are essential for identification at our end.
