The latest addition to the manual rodkicker range is the Selden 50. Designed to be used on yachts between 50 and 55 feet long that usually require a hydraulic vang. The appeal centres on the simple installation, straightforward user experience and economical service costs.
The rodkicker can be set up with various control line configurations to maximise crew comfort and ease of adjustment. The new inboard sheaves allow for vang release from both sides of the boat. Easy access provides the option for quick release in the moments before broaching.
The double gas springs provide enough return force to lift the weight of the boom. Useful in light wind conditions when attempting to maintain sail shape or when easing the controls during transition to downwind sailing.
