Jimmy Green Block and Tackle Purchase Systems are carefully specified to help move or raise loads by effectively dividing the weight you need to shift by the relevant factor = 4:1, 6:1 or 8:1

A Jimmy Green Purchase System, also known as a Handy Billy, makes light of all manner of tasks that would be impossible without a mechanical advantage.

Purchase Systems are designed, spliced and reeved in house, by the Jimmy Green Rigging Team.

There are 3 Purchase System options:

The Purchase System effectively divides the load by the corresponding ratio which in turn dictates the maximum manageable weight.

e.g. Based on a maximum straight lift for a single person of 20kg:

4:1 divides the load by 4 - for lifting loads up to 80kg on the basis described above 6:1 divides the load by 6 - for lifting loads up to 120kg on the same basis 8:1 divides the load by 8 - for lifting loads up to 160kg on the same basis

• Two length options on reeved line - 3 metres or 6 metres extended
• Plain bearing fiddle blocks: 30/45mm diameter sheaves, MBL 740kg
• Reeved line: LIROS braid on braid EVO polyester, 8mm diameter, MBL 2290kg

6:1 Purchase System

• Triple ball bearing blocks: 45mm diameter sheaves, MBL 800kg
• Optional Storage Sock or Stowage and Usage Sleeve

8:1 Purchase System

• Single and triple ball bearing blocks: 45mm diameter sheaves, MBL 800kg
• Optional Storage Sock or Stowage and Usage Sleeve
