Lower Fore St, Beer, East Devon, EX12 3EG
LIROS 3 Strand White Polypropylene is a multifilament, multi-purpose, extremely pliable floating line with a smooth, kind-to-the-hands finish that is far removed from the common conception of polypropylene, e.g. the hard, wiry, blue monofilament variety, or the rough and hairy, white staple version.
'Floating' lines can be extremely useful in certain mooring situations, e.g. accessible linking lines between buoys and trots where a floating rope will be easier to capture with a boat hook from on deck.

CUSTOM BUILD INSTRUCTIONS - MOORING WARPS AND STROPS
LIROS Multifilament Polypropylene is subjected to a thorough UV stabilising process during rope production to enhance resistance to ultraviolet rays.
However, UV-stabilised Multifilament Polypropylene is still more susceptible to deterioration in the sun than Nylon (Polyamid) or Polyester (the most UV-resistant of mooring lines).
Polypropylene has a lower breaking load than polyester or nylon, and it may be prudent to upsize to compensate.
On the upside, LIROLEN polypropylene is much lighter than nylon or polyester, making it more manageable and easier to handle, size for size.
