Jimmy Green Anchorplait spliced set length chain hook snubbing strops are professionally spliced by the Jimmy Green Rigging Team using LIROS Anchorplait White Nylon®.
Spliced Set Length Snubbing Strops are the quick-order option, with a loop splice on one end and a chain hook spliced into the other.
Jimmy Green Chain Snubbing Lines are produced to order in-house and are subject to splicing order lead times.

Anchor Snubber Strops absorb the shock load when the anchor chain pulls tight.

Anchor Chain Snubbing Guidelines:
Lengths are already set in this product but can be made as long as practicable (5 or 6 metres is quite common) with a minimum of 3 metres by ordering a custom snubbing line, link above.
Strength - Choose a snubber to fit your chain with a line compatible with your main Anchor Chain and Warp.
The shock absorption qualities of the snubbing line will increase with greater length and reduced diameter.
N.B. The chain hook isn't designed to fit through the link but over one link to hold fast on the next link.
