All Jimmy Green Purchase System components are selected, measured, cut to length, spliced, whipped and reeved together in-house by the Jimmy Green Rigging Team.
These block and tackle systems are produced to order and, therefore, subject to splicing order lead times.
The Jimmy Green 8:1 purchase system with a 12mm line is designed to deliver a significant power advantage when handling heavy loads.

The Jimmy Green 8:1 purchase system is designed to help cope with heavy loads by effectively dividing the weight by a factor of 8.
For example, if you want to achieve a straight lift of 160kg, you will need 20kg of pulling power. If you think 20kg is unmanageable, some other form of physical advantage will be required in your system, e.g. a winch.
Please note that the information above applies to a straight lift - it will take less pulling power if you only try to move a load sideways.
The top triple block features a cam cleat to secure the line after each pull.

Jimmy Green block and tackle 8:1 purchase system with 12mm line specification:
40 metres of 12mm LIROS Braid on Braid EVO bright white polyester with red code spliced to a single fixed head block with becket.
The line is reeved through another single fixed head block before transferring to a triple swivel block setup with cam to finish.
The bottom block is spliced to a Tested Kong stainless steel carabine hook with 1 metre of LIROS 12mm 3 strand polyester.
The hook makes for an easy snap-on action to secure the load and has a screw-in lock for security.

- Reeved line: LIROS braid on braid EVO polyester, 12mm diameter, MBL 3700kg
