Petersen Stainless Swage Terminals are all manufactured in the UK from European Grade 316L stainless steel

Jimmy Green Marine supply Petersen roller swage terminals:

• For wire diameters from 3mm to 16mm as standard, larger sizes are available on request.
• For thread sizes ranging from 1⁄4” to 1” UNF 
• For Metric thread sizes ranging from 3mm to 26mm

All Petersen Stainless fittings are machined from solid bar or are electrically upset forged - no welding or welded joints

The electrical upsetting process gives beneficial grain structure to eyes, stemballs and T-terminals, minimising internal stress levels to improve fatigue performance.

All swaged fittings are supplied with a high quality polished finish.

Inspection certificates to BS EN 10204 3.1B and certificates of conformity are available on request.

Swage Terminals require specific hydraulic machinery and the requisite operating skills to fit them successfully to wire.

Roller swaging is a professional cold forging process where the wire is inserted in the cylindrical tunnel of the terminal, and the two are compressed (crushed) together using a hydraulic roller press. It is crucial that the wire is inserted into the tunnel to the maximum extent i.e. right to the hilt to ensure the integrity of the process.

The Jimmy Green Rigging Team employ the world renowned and respected Wiretechnik Hydraulic Roller Press system for completing wire termination.

Petersen Advisory

Petersen use the following convention throughout their range of terminals and fittings:

• The pin size is the smallest diameter hole that the pin will fit into
• The hole size is the largest diameter pin that will fit in the hole

For example:-

• a pin listed as 12mm will fit into a 12mm diameter hole 
• a hole listed as 16mm will accept a 16mm diameter pin
