Harken 494 and 495 Fast Release Fairleads feature low-friction, angled stainless steel line guides on the exit side of the cleat - the guides keep the line away from the cam to avoid unintended recleating during manoeuvres where quick-release is critical.
- Use the 495 fairlead with part number 468 Micro Cam-Matic and 471 Carbo-Cam cleats
- Use the 494 fairlead with part number 150 Standard Cam-Matic and 365 Carbo-Cam cleats.
This Harken 2nd generation design features the same low friction stainless bail as the original Harken X-Treme fairlead for a similar bulletproof turning point.
Harken Fast Release Fairleads are excellent for travellers, coachroof controls and deck cleats where quick release is crucial.
