Majoni fender inflation adaptors are designed and manufactured in 2 parts to connect a car foot pump or bicycle pump to any Majoni Fender Inflation Valve via a secure male/female thread.
Majoni fenders have a unique design brass valve which facilitates inflation, deflation and reinflation.
Majoni state that the best way to inflate their fenders is to push air pressure from a compressor with a flat head against the valve.
Majoni state that it is also possible to inflate their fenders with a bicycle or foot pump using their unique brass adaptor.
Majoni warn that the use of a needle type adaptor will damage the valve.
Majoni recommend an optimum inflation pressure = 0.2 bar - at this pressure it should be possible to visibly press in the fender wall with the flat of your hand
The pressure inside your fenders will change with the ambient temperature so it is important to keep a check on the inflation
Deflating a Majoni Fender:
Majoni say that you should gently push a pen/biro the minimum distance into the valve to make the air escape.
Replacing a damaged Majoni valve:
- Screw an M3 threaded bolt or machine screw into the valve
- Grip the bolt head firmly with a pair of pliers and pull the valve out of the fender wall.
- Push the new valve into the hole in the fender wall by the same method i.e. using a bolt, pliers and hand pressure.
