The Lofrans Dorado windlass is capable of handling rope and chain on the same gypsy with the help of a specially engineered spring-loaded finger which keeps the warp firmly connected to the gypsy by applied pressure.
Lofrans Dorado Main Features:

- Manual chain free fall system
- Weatherproof, marine grade, grey anodised aluminium alloy deck unit casing
- Vertical orientated motor, partially mounted below deck
- Horizontal axis gypsy rotates well clear of the deck
- Maximum fall height in the chain locker together with minimal footprint on deck
- Excellent combination when deck and locker space is at a premium
- Rope and chain combination regulated by the spring loaded finger (arm)
- 500 watt or 800 watt motor options
- Lofrans engineered heavy duty IP66 rated motor
- Two chain/rope size options: 6mm chain with 10mm/12mm rope or 8mm chain with 12mm rope
N.B. There is no 7mm option listed because the calibration is ISO and we currently only stock 7mm DIN766
The 8mm version is only available with 700 watt motor
